Behind its glass, the garden marks time
In the motion of iris to rose to sedum,
Bee to butter y to wasp, each part tock
Ticking on to tock.
The garden thinks we are its clock.
It sees us twitch behind our glass
In ittering time, springs within springs,
Going nowhere, and marvels.
So wonderfully wrought,
This jewel of creation.
This curious thought.
