Ardyn Halter is a printmaker, painter, stained glass designer and writer. He was born in London and read English at Pembroke College, Cambridge.
His paintings and original prints have been exhibited in museums all over Europe and he has work included in numerous public and private collections including The British Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum, The British Library, Pallant House, The National Library of Ireland, The New York Public Library, The Tel Aviv Museum, and The Israel Museum.
He has undertaken many public commissions for his stained glass, including the design for the Rwandan Genocide Memorial in Gisozi Rwanda and windows for St Johns Wood, Alyth Gardens and Highgate Synagogues in London; windows for a library in Ohio, USA; and two windows for Cambridge University.
His book The Water's Edge, Meetings of Image and Word (with Seamus Heaney; Geoffrey Hill, Don Patterson, Michael Longley et al.) was published by Lund Humphries in 2006.
