Signed, titled and dated in pencil
Numbered from the edition of 150
Printed by Kip Gresham at Curwen Chilford with their blindstamps
‘In 1993 Irvin worked with Curwen Chilford, Cambridge, on two silkscreen prints, Ranelagh and Sangora, each in a large edition of 225. Both titles, regardless of the fact that were created in Cambridge, are named after London streets or gardens.
Sangora has had several incarnations. It was first used for a poster for an exhibition of Irvin’s paintings at a gallery in Cambridge and was so much liked that it was then metamorphosed into a limited edition print'. – Albert Irvin: the Complete Prints Mary, Rose Beaumont (2010), pg. 40.
