Monoprint

Monotypes and monoprints are very similar, and the words are often used interchangeably. However, there is a difference between the two processes. Monotypes use a smooth surface, but monoprints can use a woodcut, lithography stone, or even an etched plate. The way that monoprints are painted or inked makes the print unique.
