Paul Catherall | The Art of the Poster

Eames Fine Art Studio

Ground Floor

54-58 Tanner Street

London SE1 3PH

Meet the artist: 1st February 2.30pm

Paul Catherall has been commissioned many times by London Transport to produce linocuts for their posters promoting travel around and from London. Paul's iconic images are familiar with anyone regularly using TFL and his work is currently featured in the London Transport Museum's wonderful Global Posters Exhibition alongside many of his graphic heros including Edward McKnight Kauffer, Man Ray and Tom Eckersley. You can read the TFL feature on Paul: London in Lino, on their site HERE.

Paul will be joining us at the Eames Studio on Saturday 1 February at 3pm to talk about his passion for posters and why he thinks the London Underground is potentially the best art gallery in London - one he used to dream about being asked to contribute to. You are very welcome to join us for this talk.

We are delighted to have some of the proofs and original prints from these posters for sale in the Studio along with more of Paul's work for you to browse through.

You are welcome to pop into the Studio on any Saturday or Sunday to see the showcase. If you would like to join us for Paul's talk please let us know by contacting the Studio on 0207 407 6561, or via the contact form.
