In this exhibition we have the complete portfolio of 40 original lithographs created by Jean Cocteau in 1957 to celebrate some of his favourite plays. In most cases he wrote the play, or indeed the libretto in the case of the operas such as 'Les Mariés de la Tour Eiffel', and in some cases he also designed the costumes and set designs as well as the posters in addition to his writing and directing. Cocteau truly adored all aspects of the theatre and this beautiful series of lithographs is a testament to that passion.
