Eames Fine Art is delighted to announce Changing Light, an exhibition of monotypes and paintings by Hamish Macaulay.
Based in Waikanae on the Kāpiti Coast of New Zealand's North Island, Hamish's new work reflects the ever changing colour, texture and light of the breathtaking landcapes around him. Since returning home to New Zealand in 2020, Hamish's work has taken on such a powerful beauty, and though the landscapes are imagined or remembered rather than literal depictions, what is always prominent in every work is Hamish's acute reaction to the natural light and the changing weather conditions in his environment - his love of his home is apparent in every work.
