Eames Fine Art is delighted to be exhibiting the full suite of Henri Matisse's 1954 lithographs in the gallery this August.
In the years preceding his death in 1954, and when ill health prevented him from painting, Matisse created many innovative, bold gouache paper cut-outs. In 1953-54 he worked with renowned lithographer Fernand Mourlot to reinterpret these works as lithographs. This was to be one of his last projects and yet despite this backdrop of failing health, the works themselves are full of life and joy.
All works are on display in the gallery, with a limited number available to buy unframed online. Please call the Studio on 0207 407 6561 to purchase a framed example.
